Registration Polar Symposium open!

Registration for the annual Polar Symposium is now open!

Thursday 2 December | 09.30 – 19.00 hrs

Museon | Stadhouderslaan 37 | The Hague

You are warmly invited to join the annual Polar Symposium: “For Sustainability in the Polar Regions!”.

NPP-NWO, APECS Netherlands, the Dutch Arctic Circle (DAC) and the Government of the Netherlands join forces to once again present a day full of state-of-the-art polar science, relevant results, trends and most of all networking opportunities. We will link scientific insights to relevant developments and governance changes in the polar regions.

The chair and moderator of this event is Nienke Beintema. The full programme will follow after registration.

Registration is required and is free of charge.

We look forward to welcoming you at Museon. The museum offers the opportunity to accommodate more people and more sessions than ever before. Still, capacity is limited to 250 people, so do not hesitate to register timely.* The symposium will be held in English and will not be broadcast online.

Note: ALL people who will be present at the event need to register. Thus, also organisers or participants of specific sessions need to register themselves.

It is possible to present a poster during the Polar Symposium. If you are interested, please indicate this on the registration form and we will contact you about the details. The deadline for registering a poster is the 8th of November, after which you will receive instructions for abstract submission.

Feel free to share this invitation with colleagues and others interested. For more information please send an email to (NWO),

We look forward to meeting you.
